Anthony Locks is a Jamaica-born Reggae vocalist and guitarist, also on keys and drums, and a two-time German Reggae Award winner based in Stuttgart, Germany. Raised in Linstead, Saint Catherine, he worked the hotel circuit from Montego Bay to Negril before 1995 and recorded at Kingston's leading studios, among them Anchor, Tuff Gong and Mixing Lab. Discovered by Iqulah, international ambassador of the Reggae & Rastafari movement, he toured Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda with Cedella Marley Booker, Bob Marley's mother, in 1995/96. In 1999 he took the stage name Anthony Locks and went on to play in the backing bands of major international acts. His music has since reached festival stages on three continents.
Today he fronts the "Living Soundsystem Experience": the weight of a classic sound system, delivered by a live band. A compact core trio plays Roots Reggae, Dancehall, Ska and reggaefied Pop with full-show energy, for crowds of every generation. Logistics stay lean: minimal technical requirements, fast load-in and load-out, standard backline. For bigger stages the trio scales into a full band. One booking that fits any stage, schedule or budget. Charismatic, original Roots vibes, straight from the yard.
